Self Study

As you write your self study, be sure to review the resources on the ACEN Website for updates and changes to policies. The following includes a self study template with table of contents, tables, and appendices created, along with ACEN guidelines for writing the self study report.

Resource Room FOR SITE VISIT

The site visitors are required to review the following documents. The guidelines for writing the Self Study Report (above under self study) contains essential elements you need to have either in the self study report, in the resource room, or electronically in D2L, an USB, Sharepoint, etc.

Standard 1: Administration

Site visitors find it easier to view tables than to read information in didactic form. Try to use tables whenever you can, it will clarify the information for the readers. The following are a few tables for standard 1.

Standard 2: Faculty

Appendix: Faculty Profile Table. Required by ACEN. The Profile Table attached includes the information for MN State and MN Board of Nursing credentialing requirements.

Appendix: Faculty Experience and Professional Development CVs.
Each faculty member is required to submit additional information for the Faculty Profile Table. This is a standardized template created by the nursing programs in MN used to provide the information required by ACEN.

Data Tracking Tool: The Data Tracking Tool is an Excel Database which can be used to track data that you need for Standard 6. If you do not currently have a good tracking tool, you might want to revise this one to meet your programs needs.

The Report to Constituents is found on the Resource Site on the ACEN Website. The report provides rationale for Job Placement rates and Completion rates for your self study.
